Khurja (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 12 (ANI): In an effort to promote 'Art from Waste', a park named 'Anokhi Duniya' has been built in Khurja. Several artworks made from the ceramic waste have been displayed in the park.
Speaking to ANI, the Vice-Chairman of the Bulandshahr-Khurja Development Authority (BKDA), Dr Ankur Lathar, praised the efforts of artists and artisans involved in the project.
"Given that Khurja has earned a global reputation for its world-class ceramic products, we have built this park. Based on the theme of waste to wonder, ceramic waste is transformed into amazing artworks," he said.
Union Government announced the launch of Special Campaign 5.0, from 2nd to 31st October 2025, with a focus on the disposal of e-Waste generated as per the E-Waste Management Rules 2022 of the MoEFCC, space management and enhancing the workplace experience of Field offices.
The Special Campaign 4.0, held from October 2, 2024, to August 31, 2025, has set a high benchmark for the ongoing commitment to cleanliness, waste management, and environmental responsibility. Under the aegis of the Ministry of Coal, the campaign yielded impressive results across all Public Sector Undertakings and field offices under its jurisdiction.
As per the DARPG report, the Ministry of Coal emerged as the Top Performer in the category of Space Freed and Fourth position in Revenue Earned during Special Campaign 4.0 amongst all the Ministries/Departments of the Government of India. MoC had the 100% disposal of Public Grievances & PMO References and also 100% Achievement of the target set (files reviewed 71,632 and files weeded out 69,227). The Ministry also excelled in public outreach, utilising social media platforms to release 2163 tweets, 1137 press releases and 61 PIB statements, alongside extensive media coverage, effectively highlighting the campaign's initiatives and achievements.
