With an estimated fortune of around ₹8,660 crore, Anand Kamalnayan Pandit stands among the wealthiest figures in the Indian entertainment and real estate industries. The successful film producer, known for delivering box office hits like Great Grand Masti, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Total Dhamaal, and Sarkar 3, recently made it to the Hurun India 2025 list as the tenth richest real estate magnate in the country. His vast wealth primarily stems from the rising valuation of his firm, Sri Lotus Developers and Realty Limited, which operates alongside his entertainment banner, Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.
According to India Today, some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, have each invested ₹10 crore in Anand’s company. The Economic Times also reported that several other celebrities—such as Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Ektaa Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Rajkummar Rao—have placed their trust and capital in his real estate venture. Founded in 2015, Anand’s firm focuses on redevelopment and premium housing projects, particularly within the high-end zones of Mumbai’s western suburbs.
Anand shares a deep personal and professional connection with both Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. In an old conversation with SCREEN, he reminisced about how Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 classic Trishul served as a turning point in his life.
The film, where Bachchan’s character rises from humble beginnings to become the owner of a construction empire, deeply resonated with Anand. Growing up in Ahmedabad, he was moved by the story and decided to move to Mumbai, determined to carve out a similar path for himself. He revealed that Bachchan’s portrayal of Vijay inspired him to build his own real-estate firm, which eventually became the highly successful Lotus Developers.
Within a year of settling in Mumbai, Anand’s fortunes began to soar. He bought a house located right behind Amitabh Bachchan’s legendary bungalow, Jalsa, and developed a close friendship with the superstar. Anand has often expressed gratitude for Bachchan’s constant support, describing him as a guiding presence who treats him like family. In 2013, he sold the same property to Bachchan for ₹50 crore when the actor wished to expand Jalsa.
Their bond later extended into cinema as well. Anand produced Sarkar 3 (2017) and Chehre (2021), both starring Amitabh, and The Big Bull (2021), featuring Abhishek Bachchan, strengthening a partnership built on admiration and mutual respect.
