Hariyali Teej 2025 Puja: The festival of Hariyali Teej is very special for women. It is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month. On this day, women worship Shiva and Parvati and wish for love, happiness, and a long life in their married life. In this fast, there is a tradition of fasting without drinking water, which is called Nirjala Vrat. Women do not eat or drink anything throughout the day and open the fast after worship in the evening. In such a situation, it is important to know what to eat after opening the fast and what things should be avoided. Bhopal resident astrologer and Vastu consultant Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma is giving more information on this subject.

What to eat after opening a fast food
1. Fruits:
It is good to eat fruits first while breaking the fast. Especially green fruits like grapes, guava, or kiwi are preferred. They are light in digestion and give energy to the body.
2. Milk and its products:
Milk, curd, kheer, etc., cool the body and provide nutrition after fasting. Sweets made from milk can also be eaten in small quantities.
3. Dry fruits:
Eating dry fruits like almonds, cashews, raisins, and dates gives strength to the body. They maintain energy for a longer time.
4. Sweets:
Ghevar, Malpua, or any light homemade sweet can be taken in small quantities. But keep in mind that sweets should be eaten in limited quantities.
5. Light food:
If you want to eat something else after some time of breaking the fast, then light food made of dal, rice, roti, and boiled vegetables will be appropriate. Eat only homemade food while avoiding oil and spices.
What should not be eaten during fasting
1. Grains and non-vegetarian food:
During the fast, grains like wheat, rice, meat, fish, egg, etc. should be completely avoided.
2. Onion and garlic:
These are not used on the days of worship, so avoid them too.
3. Fried and spicy food:
Such food is heavy to digest and can harm the body after the fast.
4. Stale and junk food:
Stale food and oily, adulterated food available in the market can be harmful to health.

5. Alcohol and intoxicants:
Consumption of such substances not only defiles the fast but also spoils health.
6. Excessive sweets or sugar:
Eating too much sugar can cause fatigue, lethargy and stomach problems.
