1. Sabudana Kheer
Ingredients:
- Sabudana – 1 cup
- Milk – 3 cups
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Ghee – 2 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Almonds or pistachios – 1/4 cup
Method:
1. First, wash the sabudana thoroughly and soak it in water for 4 to 5 hours.
2. When the sabudana becomes soft, drain the water.
3. Now, boil the milk in a pan, add sugar, and mix well.
4. Then, add the sabudana and cook for about 10-15 minutes.
5. Now, sprinkle cardamom powder, chopped almonds, and pistachios on top.
6. Your sabudana kheer is ready. Offer it to Goddess Durga.
2. Rice Kheer
Ingredients:
- Rice – 1 cup
- Milk – 4 cups
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- Ghee or butter – 2 tablespoons
- Cashews, almonds, or pistachios – as desired
Method:
1. First, wash the rice and soak it for about 30 minutes.
2. Boil milk in a deep pan and add the soaked rice.
3. Let the rice cook thoroughly in the milk.
4. Now add cardamom powder and a little ghee or butter to prevent the kheer from sticking.
5. When the kheer thickens, turn off the heat and sprinkle chopped dry fruits on top.
6. The rice kheer is ready; enjoy it.
3. Makhana Kheer
Ingredients:
Makhanas – 1 cup
Milk – 2 cups
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Ghee – 2 tablespoons
Almonds or cashews – 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Method:
1. First, heat ghee in a pan and roast the makhanas until golden brown.
2. Now, lightly crush them so that they are well incorporated into the kheer.
3. Meanwhile, bring the milk to a boil and add the sugar, and let it dissolve well.
4. Now, add the roasted makhanas and cook for 7-8 minutes.
5. Add cardamom powder and dried fruits and turn off the heat.
6. The delicious makhana kheer is ready.

1. Always use a steel or thick-bottomed vessel when making kheer to prevent it from burning.
2. Stir the kheer continuously, especially when it thickens.
3. If desired, you can enhance the flavor and aroma of the kheer by adding saffron.
