MP CM Mohan Yadav Celebrate Raksha Bandhan With 1.5k Behnas In Ujjain; Announces Special Raksha Bandhan Bonus On August 7

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the women employees of a corporate company located in Ujjain’s Nagziri.

The sisters tied rakhi on the Chief Minister's wrist, and ‘CM Bhaiya’ gave them gifts in return. More than 1,500 women work at this company. 

The CM got rakhis tied and gave return gifts to the sisters. Speaking at the event, he expressed his deep respect for the women of Madhya Pradesh, calling all 4.5 crore of them his sisters and pride.

The CM praised the hard-working women and said that even though he has two biological sisters, the women of the state are equally close to his heart. “Their dignity and well-being are my responsibility,” he said.

He highlighted the increasing job opportunities in Ujjain, stating that earlier textile mills employed about 5k people, but now over 20k people are getting employment locally. He added that many new industries are investing in the region, creating jobs and bringing honor to the state.

Special gifts announced

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced a special Raksha Bandhan gift for the state's Ladli Behnas.

On August 7, each woman enrolled under the Ladli Behna Scheme will receive an additional ₹250 in her bank account as a festive gift.

Along with this, the regular ₹1,250 installment of the scheme will also be deposited.

‘Raksha Bandhan is King of festival’

Describing Raksha Bandhan as the ‘king of festivals,’ Yadav said that sisters sacrifice everything for their brothers, and it’s only fair that brothers honor them with love and care. 

The celebration concluded with the women tying rakhis to the Chief Minister and applying a ceremonial tilak, while Yadav offered them gifts in return.

Local MLA Anil Jain Kalukheda, public representative Sanjay Agrawal, and other officials were also present during the event.
