Tech giant Google has unveiled the 20 startups selected for the 2025 cohort of its “Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First” programme. Chosen from more than 1,600 applications, the selected startups will undergo a three-month “equity-free” programme designed to help them tackle early-stage challenges and scale their businesses.
Targeted at seed to Series A startups, the accelerator offers mentorship from Google experts, technical training through bootcamps, access to Google Cloud and its in-house developed large language model (LLM) Gemini AI. Besides, eligible startups are also given $350K (around INR 3 Cr) worth Google Cloud credits.
Google launched the startup accelerator in April 2024 and subsequently unveiled its first cohort of 20 startups last August after sifting through over 1,030 applications. The last cohort featured startups Kroop AI, Segwise.ai, Hypergro, among others.
The 2025 batch reflects emerging AI trends in India, with 45% of startups focused on agentic AI, 30% working on multimodal AI applications, and the remaining 25% building foundational models and responsible AI solutions.
Without further delay, let’s meet the 20 Indian AI startups part of the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First cohort for 2025.
