A brand new series inspired by the K-Pop phenomenon is a must-watch for fans of Netflix’s biggest movie in history.
KPop Demon Hunters is an animated sensation that follows a trio of Korean pop stars who secretly use their voices and combat skills to protect the world from demons.
After becoming the most-viewed original film in the streamer’s history, toppling the record held by the Dwayne Johnson thriller Red Notice, viewers will be eager to discover more shows that tap into the musical trend.
Thankfully, rival streamer Apple TV+ has the answer in the form of a star-studded competition series featuring some of the biggest artists on the planet.
KPopped premiered this Friday (29th August) and promises fans a musical showdown like no other.

A synopsis for the show reads: “East meets West when the biggest K-pop groups on the planet split into two teams and join forces with Western music superstars.
“Against a ticking clock, they must prepare and perform unique covers of iconic mega-hits, delivering spectacular collab performances, with a winning team crowned every episode.”
If that’s not tantalising enough, the eight-episode series is absolutely packed with megastars from the world of K-Pop, including ITZY, Billie, ATEEZ, STAYC, Kiss of Life and BLACKSWAN.

They’ll be facing off against legendary artists Kylie Minogue, Patti LaBelle, Kesha, Boyz II Men, Spice Girls’ Mel B, J Balvin and Culture Club’s Boy George in a tournament of song battles performed in Seoul and judged by a live audience.
Gangnam Style legend Psy and Megan Thee Stallion also star in the show, with hosting duties taken by Soojeong Son.
Fans have already been raving about the new show just a day after Apple TV+ premiered the first eight episodes, signalling a second season could soon be around the corner.
One viewer posted on X: “the blackswan episode of kpopped was so good omg.”
Another raved: “That Kpopped show is so cutieeeee. Meg was the perfect choice.”
A third couldn’t hold back their excitement: “KPOPPED WAS SO GOOD I SCREAMED AND CHOKED MYSELF GOODNESS. I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS A REAL THING THAT EXISTS.”
And a final fan demanded: “we need KPOPPED season 2, i love this show already.”
