Footage shows police eventually shooting the suspect dead, with police telling everyone else to stay back as he had a bomb, an armed officer was heard shouting in horrific video footage shortly after a violent attack that left two people dead and three others seriously injured. PM shocked by attack
While experts are still investigating whether the accused had explosives, following the incident, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he was shocked by the attack and that extra police officers would be deployed at other synagogues across the country. Starmer wrote on "X", "The fact that it happened on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it even more horrific." King Charles III also said he was deeply shocked and saddened by the attack.
