Team India leaves for Australia tour, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma seen together

Immediately after winning the Test series in the West Indies, the Indian team departed for Australia, where they will play ODI and T20 series starting October 19. All eyes are on the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the ODI series.

New Delhi: Within 24 hours of winning the Test series against the West Indies, the Indian cricket team had to fly to Australia, where they will play a one-day series starting on October 19th. The series between India and Australia will consist of three ODIs and five T20 matches. Team India's schedule is incredibly tight, leaving the players with little time to rest.

Eyes on the return of Kohli and Rohit

In this ODI series against Australia, all eyes will be on veteran players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who are returning to international cricket for the first time since March 2025. Their return is expected to bolster Team India's batting. Team India took off from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, where a large number of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite players.

Team India's busy schedule

Team India's players have to travel extensively due to the ongoing cricket matches. This busy schedule won't stop here. The Australia tour will conclude in Brisbane on November 8th, immediately following which the team will play the first match of a two-Test series against South Africa in Kolkata on November 14th.


It's also worth noting that the ODI squad left for Australia first, while the T20I squad will fly a week later. The varying travel schedules for different formats are also putting additional pressure on the players.
