Huge Disney+ shows now available to watch for free including Desperate Housewives

Disney Plus has unleashed a treasure trove of its hit titles for free streaming, including fan favourites like Desperate Housewives and Andor.

In an unprecedented move, the streaming giant has partnered with ITVX in a groundbreaking collaboration that merges their offerings, allowing viewers to enjoy a plethora of shows and films on both platforms.

Starting from 16th July, ITVX users will gain access to a vast array of Disney Plus content under the banner Taste of Disney+, with the library set to expand in the months ahead to include new additions such as The Bear.

A dozen Disney Plus titles made their way onto ITVX this Wednesday, instantly becoming available for all ITVX users to stream at their leisure.

Concurrently, Disney Plus subscribers in the UK have been treated to a curated selection of ITV's finest under the moniker Taste of ITVX, enhancing their viewing options without any additional charges, reports the Mirror.

The ITV lineup now streaming on Disney Plus features acclaimed shows like Mr Bates vs the Post Office, Love Island, Vera, and Endeavour.

This collaboration between ITVX and Disney Plus strengthens an existing relationship, highlighted by Disney's Renegade Nell already gracing the platform.

ITV's managing director of media and entertainment, Kevin Lygo, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: "For us, this deal means even more great content for viewers on ITVX, and even more opportunity for viewers to find and enjoy our distinctive titles and services."

Disney Plus EMEA general manager Karl Holmes revealed to Broadcast: "ITVX skews relatively old, and our heartland is under-55s. One of the challenges we have is that our brands are strong, but if you're older you think that Disney's about family and kids."

He also noted the advantage of their position, stating: "At the same time, we get some of the UK's biggest shows to put in front of our audiences - which are less exposed to traditional free-to-air content. That's great for engagement."
