ITV viewers watching a repeat episode of Celebrity Beat The Chasers all reacted with similar comments after one celebrity won a giant jackpot. During the 2024 episode, which was hosted by Bradley Walsh, Rick Edwards won a whopping £120,000 for charity. The television presenter took on all five chasers on the panel in a bid to win some cash.
Prior to him, a number of other famous faces had failed to beat the chasers. Neil Delamere, Michelle Ackerley, Charlie Stayt, and Danny Sebastian all fell short and walked away empty-handed.
With Rick being the final contestant, the pressure was all down to him. He decided to attempt to beat the entire panel in a nail-biting race and managed to walk away with an impressive £120,000 for his chosen charity.
Viewers at home who watched were in complete disbelief over his remarkable win.
One person reacted on X: "He made up for the others loses #beatthechasers." A second also couldn't believe it and said: "@rickedwards1 Congratulations on your win on #Beatthechasers."
A third also commented: "#beatthechasers congrats Rick great performance!"
A fourth echoed: "Wow!! £120k #beatthechasers."
After his impressive victory, Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan gave Rick praise and said: "That was immaculate time management there. A lot of players come on and look at that time advantage in terms of the number of questions they can get wrong."
This was a repeat episode from the seventh season of Celebrity Beat The Chasers on ITV which aired in 2024. Other famous faces to have taken part previously include Nish Kumar, Chris McCausland, Mary Earps, Alexander Armstrong and Rachel Riley.
Beat the Chasers: Celebrity Special can be streamed on ITV and ITVX.
