A British man was found dead in his hotel room after falling ill at a club in Ibiza, an inquest has heard. Stan-Lee Connor, 20, from Birkenhead, Merseyside, was on holiday with a friend when he became unwell at Amnesia nightclub in July.
Mr Connor had taken ecstasy, but he and his pal left the venue for their hotel, Aparthotel Vibra Monterrey, at about 3am. Senior Coroner for Liverpool and Wirral Andre Rebello heard that when Mr Connor arrived back at his accommodation, he had a shower and remained awake as his pal went to bed.
The coroner heard Mr Connor's friend woke up at 9am to find him looking yellow and "unresponsive" on the floor. The emergency services arrived in minutes, but the youngster's life couldn't be saved.
At Mr Connor's inquest on Monday (October 13), the court heard details of a toxicology report which found ecstasy, cocaine and aspirin had resulted in cardiological death, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Mr Connor's family had reported his death to Merseyside Police, which launched an investigation. The court heard there was no evidence that a crime had been committed.
The coroner said there was no evidence of violence between Mr Connor and his friend.
But Mr Connor's mum, Tammy, challenged the inquest and raised questions over the circumstances surrounding her loved one's death. The family suffered the loss of Mr Connor's father last year.

Mr Rebello said: "From the Spanish police report and from the Merseyside Police report there is no evidence any drugs were forced on Stan-Lee. I am going to conclude that Stan-Lee has died from a drug related death. The drugs have caused his death."
Outside the court building, Mr Connor's sister, Sally, said: "We want to celebrate Stan. His funeral was amazing and it was a celebration. Everyone showed up, it was a lovely day and the skies were blue, the sun was shining."
In a tribute shared with the Echo earlier this year, another sister of Mr Connor's, Ellie, said: "He had a new job and everything was looking up. He was just starting his life properly but he didn't get a chance."
A "passionate" Everton fan, Mr Connor loved music. His sisters told the Echo: "His sudden and heartbreaking passing in Ibiza at just 20 years old has left an immeasurable void in our lives.
"Stan wasn't just our brother, he was the light in our family. He brought warmth, laughter and kindness wherever he went and his presence made everything brighter."
