The Princess of Wales has issued a new message ahead of England's rugby match against the USA tonight at the Women's Rugby World Cup.
Princess Kate, patron of both the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, took to her and Prince William's official X account to send England's Red Roses a good luck message.
Retweeting England's message ahead of tonight's match, Kate wrote:
"Wishing the Red Roses the very best as they kick off their Women's Rugby World Cup campaign tonight.
"I look forward to cheering you on and seeing the team rise to the challenge on home soil!"
She signed the message with her initial, "C".
The Red Roses are competing against the US tonight in their opening game at 7.30pm at Sunderland's Stadium of Light, four years after their defeat to New Zealand.
Princess Kate became patron of RFU and RFL in 2022, taking over the role previously held by Prince Harry.
She even attended a Twickenham training session after announcing her new roles.
At the time, rugby league chief executive Ralph Rimmer praised the Princess while welcoming her and said: "We are delighted to welcome her as we prepare to host men's, women's, wheelchair and physical disability rugby league World Cups in England this autumn."
Prince William is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union.
His aunt, Princess Anne is patron of the Scottish Rugby Union.
