UPSC CSE prelims answer key 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the answer keys for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 preliminary exams. Candidates who appeared for the highly competitive test can now access the official answer keys for General Studies Paper 1 and Paper 2 on the UPSC's official websites — upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.
Three questions dropped in GS Paper 1
According to the released answer keys, three questions have been dropped from General Studies Paper 1 across all four question paper series — A, B, C, and D. However, no questions have been removed from General Studies Paper 2. The commission has not specified the reasons for the dropped questions, but this is in line with standard procedure when discrepancies or ambiguities are identified in the question set.
The UPSC CSE 2024 prelims were conducted on June 16, 2024, followed by the main examinations held on September 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29. Based on their performance in the mains, a total of 2,845 candidates were shortlisted for the next round — the Personality Test or Interview, which took place between January 7 and April 17, 2025.
