With ample sunshine, longer days and soaring temperatures, Delhi is currently enjoying sunny days. But with the warm weather conditions, staying motivated to maintain your fitness routine can be a challenge. In a conversation with us, actress Suzanne Bernert, who was last seen in the TV show 'Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan' shared some refreshing and effective tips to keep fit and healthy all summer long.

Sharing her experience in Delhi she said, "I now own a home in Delhi also along with one in Mumbai. My partner Arjun Hardus is based in the capital. It was last year in May I had just come from Mumbai for the first time, not for a shoot but to stay. And it was a very taxing time as it is a completely different level than in Mumbai. This year it is much better as I have been here sliding into the heat. The best is to stay super hydrated with lots of fresh water and coconut, sugarcane or fruit juice. One change in my lifestyle that happened here is that after breaking the habit of not having any soft drinks for over 10 years I am back with having one per day. I try my best to be in a cooler temperature, thanks to the air-conditioners! Also, I get easily tired around 2 pm and half an hour of nap restores my energy."

She continued, "I never have no sunscreen on! Even while I'm at home. I found great brands here that won't break the budget but are really good. I use actives in my skin routine so sunscreen is even more important!"

Sharing some tips ahead the German actress based in India added, "For all the girlies out there! If you use Vitamin C or any other anti-ageing or anti-pigmentation, you must need sunscreen! The skin gets more sensitive and the effect you are getting from your product will get spoiled. So you need to be more careful and fix your daily skincare routine."

The 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' actress also mentioned, "One need to keep in mind that you may not be able to work out as long or as hard as usual when it’s very hot. Taking frequent breaks in the shade, and drinking water before you’re thirsty is compulsory. Allowing yourself time to adapt to the heat. Also, I feel wearing lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothes helps. Protect yourself from the sun with sunglasses, a hat or an umbrella."

On the work front, Suzanne has been part of several TV shows, including Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Jhansi Ki Rani, Sanskaar Laxmi, and Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. She has also been featured in films like No Problem, The Accidental Prime Minister, and the Telugu film Yatra 2.
