Actor Rumi Khan, who has carved a niche across television, OTT, and Bollywood, is set to make a comeback to the small screen. He will be seen stepping into the regal shoes of King Jaichand in the upcoming historical series Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. The role marks his return to television after a gap of two years. He was last seen in films like Gadar 2: The Katha Continues and Pathaan.
Last seen in TV show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul (2022–2023), He says, “Many of my peers express concerns about being limited to one platform—TV, films, or OTT. I'm fortunate to enjoy the creative freedom to explore all the mediums. I don’t feel boxed in, and I cherish the opportunity to work across Bollywood, television, and digital platforms,” he shares.
He adds, “Whether it's a film, a series, or a television show, I’ve been lucky to land strong, impactful characters with good screen time. I’m not just a part of the project—I play prominent, meaningful roles.”
Speaking of his journey in Bollywood, Rumi says, “Working with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol has been a great learning experience. These are moments that any actor aspires to.”
His foray into OTT has also been fulfilling. “The digital space allows for more layered characters, and my roles have given me the chance to connect deeply with viewers,” he adds.
