Does RoadCraft support cross-platform play?

The feature is not surprising, considering that the previous titles of Saber Interactive Games , like Expeditions: A MudRunner Game and SnowRunner, also had crossplay support.




The key difference now is the shared progression. This means that if you play co-op with a friend, the progress will be carried over if you shift back to solo-play, whether you are the host or are just joining the session. While playing with friends across varied platforms is an option that’s available, the saved files will not transfer between the platforms. The limitation has been confirmed by Saber Interactive , citing it to be the technical restrictions with the PROS system, which now struggles to transfer the larger files across the platforms. So, unlike the SnowRunner game, which allows saving and transferring the game, RoadCraft, for now, just locks the progress to the platform the player begins on.


It means if you switch to Xbox from PlayStation, you will have to restart right from scratch. The developers have not ruled out adding cross-progression in future updates, but as of now, the players must stick to the preferred platform and avoid losing progress.
