Does RoadCraft support cross-platform play?

Send Push
RoadCraft , one of the highly anticipated simulation games, finally released on May 20, 2025. With it, the game has brought a mix of cooperative gameplay and heavy machinery action. It will challenge the players with strategic fleet management and rugged terrain. Despite it all, the one question that remains among the players is whether they can play the game cross-platform. Here is all we know and what you can expect in-game.

Is RoadCraft cross-platform available?

RoadCraft does support cross-platform play. It means that the Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 players can easily team up. The feature is not surprising, considering that the previous titles of Saber Interactive Games , like Expeditions: A MudRunner Game and SnowRunner, also had crossplay support.

The key difference now is the shared progression. This means that if you play co-op with a friend, the progress will be carried over if you shift back to solo-play, whether you are the host or are just joining the session. It will eliminate frustration related to replaying the missions to keep up with the squad. Additionally, starting the new save file would mean resetting the unlocked vehicles. So, make a wiser playstyle.

Is there RoadCraft cross-progression available?

While playing with friends across varied platforms is an option that’s available, the saved files will not transfer between the platforms. The limitation has been confirmed by Saber Interactive , citing it to be the technical restrictions with the PROS system, which now struggles to transfer the larger files across the platforms. So, unlike the SnowRunner game, which allows saving and transferring the game, RoadCraft, for now, just locks the progress to the platform the player begins on.

It means if you switch to Xbox from PlayStation, you will have to restart right from scratch. The developers have not ruled out adding cross-progression in future updates, but as of now, the players must stick to the preferred platform and avoid losing progress.

The blend of RoadCraft’s cross-platform flexibility and the platform-specific progression helps to create a nuanced multiplayer experience. The teams can collaborate here freely. But the individual journeys are anchored to the starting point. With locations to cover and a customizable fleet alongside cooperative challenges, RoadCraft perfectly balances social play with strategic commitment. Just pick the platform, gather the crew, and start to rebuild, taking on and shaping the road ahead of you.
