In an era where media narratives often shape public opinion, Joe Rogan and NFL star Aaron Rodgers didn’t hold back in their support for Elon Musk. Their conversation on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast peeled back the layers of media portrayal, arguing that the Tesla and SpaceX CEO is often misrepresented despite his groundbreaking contributions to technology and humanity.

Aaron Rodgers and Joe Rogan break silence on media bias, rally behind Elon Musk

During their discussion, JoeRogan pointed out a troubling trend that has emerged in coverage of Elon Musk. “There’s a study that shows 96% of mainstream media coverage of Elon Musk is negative, meanwhile, he saved those astronauts trapped in space. You didn’t hear a peep,” Rogan remarked, referencing the dramatic March 18 return of NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry “Butch” Wilmore. The pair had been stranded on the International Space Station for nine months and were safely brought back by a SpaceX Dragon capsule—an event that barely made headlines in major outlets.

Aaron Rodgers echoed Rogan’s concerns, focusing on Musk’s ability to bring real-world solutions during crises. “And what he does when there are natural disasters with Starlink,” Rodgers added, praising Musk's satellite internet system that has provided critical communication infrastructure in disaster-stricken areas globally.

Their conversation went beyond technological achievements. Rogan delved into government inefficiency, claiming Musk’s initiatives have saved taxpayers billions. He took aim at the bureaucratic mismanagement often seen in public spending. “He’s revolutionizing space travel and satellite internet availability all over the world,” Rogan noted, while Rodgers highlighted that Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has curbed wasteful government programs that otherwise burn through taxpayer money with little oversight.

"And saving billions of your tax money from funding stupid programs all over the world," Rodgers, the now free agent added.

The two weren't just applauding Musk’s innovations—they were challenging what they see as a deeper issue: the establishment’s discomfort with disruptive thinkers. In a world where corporate media and governmental structures often overlap, figures like Musk, who thrive on transparency, efficiency, and bold innovation, tend to rattle the status quo.

Their comments also reflect a broader cultural friction—one between the dynamic world of private enterprise and the traditional, often sluggish institutions of government and legacy media. Rodgers was particularly critical of this imbalance, highlighting the hypocrisy where government blunders are tolerated but similar errors in the private sector would lead to swift consequences.

After the podcast gained traction, Elon Musk weighed in on the discussion himself, bluntly stating, "Legacy media lies licentiously." It was a sharp rebuke that further cemented his stance against what he views as a concerted campaign to undermine his credibility.
