NEW DELHI: Police in Jammu and Kashmir ’s border district of Poonch arrested two terrorists and recovered weapons following raids on Sunday.
The arrested men were identified as Tariq Sheikh of Azamabad and Riyaz Ahmad of Chamber village. Police said Sheikh was arrested along with Ahmad during a raid at his house in Azamabad.
“Two assault rifles and some ammunition were recovered at their disclosure,” officials said as quoted by PTI.
The seizure was made after a police team raided Sheikh’s rented accommodation at Jallian village, following the duo’s questioning.
